I'll save my current thinking about this subject for the book– I'm trying to explain how our interactions with computers, and the language we employ when talking about computers, affect our mental models of human intelligence and the mind– but this piece I wrote in 2008 on keywords of human-computer difference gives a sense of where my argument will go.
